What is BPA?
BPA is short for Bisphenol A. It is a chemical used in the production of some plastics. In materials that contact food and drinking water it has been watched closely, especially after debates on infant and child health.
Why does it matter to the bottle sector?
Some classic 19-litre bottles are made from polycarbonate. Traditional PC synthesis involves BPA. Water plants and corporate buyers therefore ask for a BPA report on the bottles and caps they use.
